"Rabbi Hammer's presentation was raw, poignant, and deeply impactful. His ability to share his tragedy is undoubtedly saving many other lives. The ripple effect of his work and the impact he has had on others are truly immeasurable. Our community cannot thank him enough for the impact he has had and will continue to."

"Was surely the best Adult ED program I ever attended. Was sad story but the Rabbi was a great speaker and really inspirational. It is amazing that he was able to move on and build Gila's Way, this amazing organization in his daughters memory. Thanks again."

"Gila's Way Hear2Help seminar was useful, insightful and absolutely necessary. No doubt we will all benefit from it in our future as we confront the real world out there. At this present moment, having just completed our first seminar session, I honestly feel more secure and safe."

"While sharing the story of his daughter's death by suicide, Rabbi Shalom Hammer managed to make us laugh and cry. But more, he made us think. His message helped give us signs to look for, things to consider. In a world that is too busy to see what is happening with our children, we have to be aware. We have to watch, listen and act. His daughter's way was to be kind to others, to notice when others were in need and Gila's Way does the same through its vital seminars. Every school and every community needs to incorporate a Gila's Way program."

“I just talked with the others after the class and we all said, even after all of the talks we have had about suicide and mental health over the years, this is the talk that will stay with us for ever. Even without knowing Gila she has truly affected me deeply, and I want to say that she is someone that I will remember but it is her happiness and her joy that she spread to other people that I will remember. Through your honesty and openness I have to say this talk has been the most influential one I have heard!"
